ONLINE WSET LEVEL 1 IN SAKE : BEGINNER LEVEL

Courses are delivered in English on the WSET platform. You are 100% free to choose when to connect to follow your study program. You will be able to meet with hundreds of fellow students from around the world on the platform.

You can choose to receive your study materials in English or in French. You can also choose to take your exam in English or in French. We recommend you take your exam in the same language as your study materials.

Exam can be taken online or in person, in Paris or Marseille.

TASTINGS

There is no tasting kit option for this course.

FINANCING WITH MY TRAINING ACCOUNT (CPF)

This training in English can be financed with your CPF with the CLOE certificate (with additional cost for CLOE training platform and CLOE certification). You will develop your vocabulary and fluency in English and get your CLOE certificate in English.

Who is this training for ?

This online course is the perfect entry point to the world of sake. Ideal for the beginner sake enthusiast, or those starting a career in hospitality.

How does it work ?

Your training : 4 weeks of training online

Your exam : your exam can be taken online or in person (Paris or Marseille)

Exams are held every month and you can choose your exam date (within 12 months)

Registrations are closing 10 working days before the start of a session

What’s covered ?

  • The main categories of Japanese sake
  • The principles of sake making
  • How to describe sake using the WSET Level 1 Systematic Approach to Tasting Sake® (SAT)

Assessment

A 45 minutes final exam will take place. To obtain your certification, you will have to correctly answer 70% of the 30 multiple-choice questions.

You will receive your result by email about 8 weeks after your exam date. Your certificate will then be mailed to you.

You can retake the exam if you do not pass for a fee of 80 euros.

Pre-requisite and accessibility

This training does not require prior knowledge of sake. You must be 18 years old to register. Excellent comprehension and writing in the selected language are also encouraged to follow the course.
